Asbestos was widely used in the building trade, as it was believed to be a cheaper and stronger product. It was only in the 80’s that usage was decreased, until it was finally banned in 1999.

In order for Asbestos to be removed you must be licensed.

It was a common occurrence for local councils/governments to use asbestos for all garage roofs.

Builders were able to use asbestos materials for many purposes, as you can see from our illustration.
